We are leaving Cuenca in a few days. We’re done with Spanish classes and so ready to travel again. Before leaving I wanted to get some really good shots of the city, so one morning before class I took my time walking around. A lot of the beautiful colonial buildings here are covered in graffiti, and not the artistic kind, just random, eligible words and lines. But I also found a few legible messages that I really liked. Some of them are related to the social problems going on and others are just random fortune cookies for the day. The ones relating to water I’d seen before, they are plastered everywhere and are in reaction to on-going water contamination due to all the mining going on in the country.
