We’re Ben and Christina. Welcome to our travel blog! We’ve been traveling the world together since 2012. Our journey has taken us to over 20 countries, spread across 5 continents.
Our method of traveling is slow and unplanned, allowing each experience to be shaped naturally and spontaneously. Over the years we’ve put ourselves in the way of the most beautiful landscapes and diverse cultures in the world. We’ve lived in developing countries and volunteered in post-natural disaster environments, bearing witness to despairing poverty and destruction matched with unwavering resilience.
We’ve hiked to high altitudes in the Andes and the Himalayas, played with tarantulas in the Amazon, built houses in Peru, worked at a women’s shelter in Guatemala, dived the barrier reef in Belize, practiced meditation in a Buddhist monastery in Myanmar, experienced an earthquake in Nepal, taught English to Tibetan refugees in India, dug wells in East Africa and had countless experiences in between. Throughout our adventures are passion remains focused on volunteerism and mindful travel.
Wherever we are, our intention is to have each experience bring us as close to daily local life as possible. That means getting off the tourist track, living with locals, eating their food, taking their form of transportation, learning from them and volunteering in local organizations. We are there to see what these beautiful places have to offer as well as consider the ways in which we can be of service.
Thank you to all our family and friends for your support. This site is intended for you to share in our experiences and also to inspire those who are interested in a life of travel. If you are ever feeling antsy at home, come join us out on the road!

“Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.”
